Basic Breakfast Smoothie

This smoothie is so quick and easy and it makes for a great way to take your supplements i.e. magnesium powder and probiotics. I have created it in a way that it's a perfect macronutrient (carbohydrate, protein, fat) balance for breakfast or as a mid morning snack. This is my staple breakfast and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 cup berries
  • 1 cup water or almond milk
  • 2 tsp coconut oil
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1 serve of magnesium powder
  • 1 probiotic capsule, emptied
  • 1 tbsp chia or flaxseed meal

Throw it all in a blender and blend until smooth. Breakfast served!

As guys need more protein and nutrients than us girls when making it for a guy use 1 tbsp of coconut oil, more protein powder (I add an extra 1/2 scoop but check your protein powder serving size) and use chia not flaxseed meal.
